My Walgreens Shopping Trip – I Got Paid $3.57 To Shop!

I had a chance to run in Walgreens the other night and thought I’d share my FREEBIES with you!

I got paid $3.57 to take these items out of the store!  Before coupons and Register Rewards, this cost $37.43.  I used $19 in coupons and got back $22 in Register Rewards!  I did have to do (2) separate transactions to get (2) Schick items, but no big deal!  (The most complicated part of shopping at Walgreens is understanding the rules… basically you can only purchase 1 of each Register Reward item per transaction… if you buy 1 or 20, only 1 reward will print.  Likewise, if you use a Register Reward you received for a product to purchase that same product (or product family) again, you will not get another Register Reward.  Breaking up your transactions also helps to minimize your out of pocket cost!  It takes practice to fully ‘get it’, but I’m here to help you!)

My store doesn’t carry the Brita pitchers that were in the ad, and they were out of the Balance Bars, Remington razors and the regular Schick razors (that’s ok… I got a rain check for one at CVS, who was also sold out!).  The Dole Fruit Crisps were priced at $0.75 and I had (4) $0.75/1 coupons in my binder making them all FREE (sorry… not sure which week these came out)!  I used the plastic Halloween cups as my fillers since they were 8/$1.00 with the in-ad coupon.

What did you get at Walgreen’s this week?

I just did my first series transaction last week at RiteAid. Definitely takes a little practice. But well worth it, since I ended up not having any UPS rewards left and don’t have to go back until there is a great deal again.
