I made a trip to CVS today. I wasn’t overly excited to go, but it ended up being a GREAT trip! My older boys’ school is collecting items this week for Team Kids, to send to the troops abroad. I bought the TRESemme, Colgate and the Hershey’s Simple Pleasures for them. The BOGO FREE TRESemme coupon expires tonight, which is really the reason I decided to go… so glad I did!
Here’s what I picked up today:

WOWZA! I actually split this into separate transactions because I wanted to use my ECBs to pay for some of my other items (to keep my out of pocket cash low). I also went to (2) different stores.
A few take-aways that may help you plan your trip:
- The Nature Made Minis are a HUGE MONEY MAKER ($5.21 for me), and as long as you have items in your order to cover the overage, you’ll get it. Be sure to hand over the (2) $3 manufacturer coupons FIRST, then the $10 CVS coupon.
- It seems that the Coke/Hershey’s ECB offer might be TWO, not ONE like the ad states. I had a mistake in my matchup that said the Hershey’s were as low as $0.25 wyb 10. Well, actually that IS true, but I meant to put wyb 5 (fixed now). The ad states that the offer is Spend $15, Get Back $5 ECB. I bought all (10) Hershey’s in the same transaction (=$30) and I got back a $10 ECB. My receipt now says the limit is reached at $30.
- There’s an unadvertised ECB for Conair Appliances – Buy 1, Get Back $5 ECB (LIMIT 2)
- The CLEARANCE Conair Curling irons ARE producing the $5 ECB, so they paid me $2.51 EACH to buy them (Another $5.02 Money Maker!). Only the 3/4″ ones were on clearance at my store. LOVE it when that happens!
AWESOME TRIP!
*Be sure to check out all the CVS DEALS for this week before you head out!

What was in each transaction?
I did 3 random transactions…
#1 – (10) Hershey’s, (1) Curling Iron, (2) Vitamins, (2) TRESemme, (1) Colgate Clearance
I used $5 ECB from last week, paid $12.64 and got back $15 ECB. When I realized the TRESemme auto deducted $6 and the curling iron was a MM I went back for more.
#2 – (1) Curling Iron (2) TRESemme, Paid $3.16, Got Back $5 ECB
My last transaction was at another store…
#3 – (6) Charmin, (6) TRESemme… Used $20 ECBs from above, paid $7.69 and walked out with $10 ECB
