My middle son had a birthday party to go to today, and it forced me to drive right by Rite Aid TWICE. Fortunately that allowed me to test out the rumored money-making Nivea deal! I can CONFIRM that it is working here in SoCal, however you want to steer clear of these BLUE ‘Touch of Smoothness’ bottles.

Something VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE – the BLUE ‘Touch of Smoothness’ variety shown in my picture above is NOT triggering the bonus $5 +UP, for unknown reasons. On my first visit to Rite Aid today, I purchased (3) of the BLUE ones and one ‘Touch of Sparkle’. I only received back (1) $5 +UP, so I assumed the deal was not working. However, Josie over at Southern Cali Saver solved the mystery and tied it to this BLUE bottle (thank you Josie!). So I decided to try my luck and see if I could get my $5 +UP by purchasing (2) more… and sure enough I did! Actually it worked out to be an even SWEETER deal, because I got back TWO $5 +UPs! (The limit on the monthly offer is 4!)
The Wellness discount is kicking in for some, making the body wash ring up less than $4.99. If this happens to you, you may need to purchase an additional bottle to trigger your $5 +UPs. That’s why I purchased (4) in my first transaction instead of 3. MY Wellness discount did NOT kick in, so I didn’t need to buy the 4th bottle. I would recommend that you purchase (3) and if it doesn’t generate the $5 +UPs, then buy one more bottle. This way you can use your (2) $1.50 +UPs to lower your out of pocket cost… but hopefully you won’t need it!
Just in case some of you tried this deal and not received your bonus +UP, here’s what I did to ‘fix’ my transaction. Since I purchased the dreaded BLUE bottles, I didn’t end up with a money maker, but I did get all (6) bottles for FREE!
