AND: (20) Albertsons Doublers – Deducted $1 Each
AND: (10) Albertsons Doublers – Deducted $0.75 Each
Final Price: $28.68!

How AWESOME is that???  My store allowed me to use all of my Doublers in one transaction.  The Doublers do state “Limit 2 per Transaction” on them, so if you have multiple to use be sure and ask before you make your way to the checkout.  {I could have gotten the exact same deal had I done 15 separate transactions, fortunately I didn’t have to!}

I’m sure you’re wondering how I got my hands on 30 Doublers.  Lets just say my car happened to drive by a community mail center with a trash can next to it, piled high with unwanted ‘junk mail’.  What’s one man’s trash, is another man’s TREASURE, and this particular trash saved me $27.50 tonight!  {For the record, I am NOT a dumpster diver…  these just happened to be right on top and were there for the taking!}

Be sure and check out this week’s Albertsons Deals & Coupon Matchups before you go!  If you find anything I missed, leave it in the comments!

cvs-pledge-dealI made a quick run to CVS late this afternoon to take advantage of a few deals before my week gets crazy.  My store is one of the stores where the new ad activates early… 4pm PST for me here in SoCal.  (My 24HR store doesn’t activate until 9pm, only the non-24HR store activates at 4pm).  Lucy for me, that means I can shop BOTH ADS on Saturday nights!

If you haven’t checked out my CVS Matchups for the new week yet (3/17 – 3/23) be sure to do so!  There are some GREAT DEALS this week.  I was really excited about the Pledge deal, which is why I went today, before they sold out.  There’s an ECB promotion running on these, Spend $14, Get Back $4 ECBs (Limit 1).  Pledge is priced at $3.50 (Regularly $7.29 at my store which is INSANE).  Here’s what your deal will look like…

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (4) Pledge Multi Surface – $3.50 Each
USE (2) B1G1 Pledge Multi Surface Product, exp. 3/23/13 (SS 02/10/13)
Pay $7.00, Get Back $4 ECB
=$0.75 Each

The max value of the BOGO Coupon is $4.90 and when they scan it, it takes off the full $4.90.  Some store will override this, others may not.  My store did NOT, so I ended up with (4) Pledge Multi Surface for ONLY $0.20 = $0.05 Each!  I was going to be happy with my $0.75 price, but I am THRILLED at $0.05!

Did you happen to get a CVS Coupon in your email this week (Thursday)?  I got a $5/$30 this week!  I needed to re-stock my Diet Coke so here’s what I did…

***DEAL IDEA***
Buy (4) Pledge Multi Surface – $3.50 Each
AND (6) Diet Coke 12-Packs – $2.97 Each
AND (1) PAAS Egg Dye Kit – $1.99
Subtotal: $33.81 (+ tax & CRV)
USED: $5/$30 CVS Coupon from my Email
AND (2) B1G1 Pledge Multi Surface Product, exp. 3/23/13 (SS 02/10/13)   {each auto-deducted $4.90}
AND (2) $2/3 12-Pack Coca Cola Products (MFR Q In the Wholesome Choice sale ad this week!!!)
Paid: 15.01 + Tax & CRV, Got Back $4 ECB Pledge, $5 ECB Coke & $1.99 ECB PAAS!
=$4.02 for Everything!

I actually paid with ECBs from last week, so I only paid the TAX out of pocket. If you have a Wholesome Choice near you, I highly recommend that you stop by and pick up a sale ad (available by the front doors).  The $2/3 12-Packs coupon is a MANUFACTURER coupon and it can be redeemed anywhere.  There is no logo on it, simply a manufacturer’s coupon.  It expires on 3/20 so be sure to keep that in mind!

***Note: The limit on the Coke 12-packs THIS week was 6 but the new ad has a limit of 4.  That limit is per TRANSACTION.  You can still pick up 5 or 6, just split your transactions up.  The ECB will print when you purchase FIVE 12-Packs.  I bought six because I had two $2/3 Coupons!

I’m excited about my trip.  What’s on your list this week?

If you missed it in the Albertsons Matchups this week, Purina Dog Treats are Buy 1 Get 1 FREE (through 11/22)!  We also have a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE COUPON for the Beggin Strips… and you know what that means!

Albertsons allows you to combine a BOGO FREE Coupon with a BOGO FREE Sale, which means, in an ideal situation you can get 2 for FREE.   I was hoping to score several bags of Beggin Strips for FREE today, but my Albertsons has these priced at $4.39 Each and the limit on the Coupon is $3.75.  (Don’t you just love the ‘everyday low price’ sign, lol?)

Not what I had hoped for, but I still ended up getting 20 Bags of Beggin’ Strips for ONLY $6.40 or $0.32 Each!

***DEAL SCENARIO***
BUY (20) Beggin Strips 6oz – BOGO FREE ($4.39)
Subtotal: $43.90
Used: (10) B1G1 Purina Beggin Brand Dog Snack, exp. 1/14/13 (SS 10/14/12 R) {Up to $3.75} – Deducted $37.50
=$0.32 Each!

I saved $81.40 per my receipt!  Now honestly I would never DREAM of paying $4.39 for these.  I try not to pay more than $1-$1.50 for dog treats.  Unfortunately my dogs were running low on treats and grandma is in town visiting.  Need I say more?  Regardless… I have some happy pups right now!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Albertsons Coupon Matchups this week before you head out!

My (1st) Ralphs Haul – Net $15.80, Saved $154.21!

by ocdealmama on October 17, 2012

I picked up my older boys from school today and I couldn’t wait to get to Ralphs!  You’re looking at my *FIRST* Ralphs haul of the week.  I have several coupons left, and I have plans to make a run to the Food Bank.  If any of you are interested in going with me… please leave me a comment or contact me!   I’m planning to go to the Food Bank in Irvine, just in case you’re interested.

I picked up 65 items today!

10 Betty Crocker Potatoes – $1.00 Each
12 Betty Crocker Mac & Cheese – $1.00 Each
9 Betty Crocker Helper Meals – $1.50 Each
3 Old El Paso Taco Shells – $1.25 Each
6 Old El Paso Taco Shells & Tortillas – $1.25
10 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel 0 $2.00 Each
5 Totino’s Pizzas – $1.25 Each
5 Betty Crocker Cake Mix – $1.25 Each
2 Cocoa Puffs – $2.99 Each
2 Honey Nut Cheerios 0 $2.99 Each
1 Golden Grahams – $2.99
Subtotal: $94.20
USED: (5) $0.50/2 Betty Crocker Potatoes
AND: (3) $0.75/3 Hamburger Helper
AND: (3) $0.60/3 Old El Paso
AND: (2) $0.85/3 Toaster Strudel
AND: (2) $0.50/2 Toaster Strudel
AND: (2) $0.60/1 Cocoa Puffs
AND: (2) $0.60/1 Honey Nut Cheerios
AND: (1) $0.75/1 Golden Grahams
AND: (1) $1/5 Ralphs e-Coupon Totino’s
Paid: $80.80, Got Back $65 in Catalinas
Net: $15.80!!!

Not bad!!!  My boys LOVE the toaster strudel and the pizzas so those won’t last long around my house.  I couldn’t find any of Totino’s boxes marked for the $5 Cash Back promotion, but I’m going to keep looking.  The potatoes are actually a money maker with the coupon, so I’m using the overage to absorb the excess on the cereal.  (I don’t like to pay more than $1 for cereal, but my guys have been asking for Cocoa Puffs…).  I will likely keep a couple of these boxes of potatoes, but the rest (plus the others I plan to buy) will be going to the food bank.  I’ve never tried the Helper Meals, but the chicken fried rice one sounded pretty good… worth trying for $0.25!  I couldn’t find the tortillas or refried beans, but I now have enough taco supplies to last quite awhile!  Several of these will be donated too.  I’ll be donating all the mac and cheese because my pantry is still full from an Albertsons deal not too long ago.

Tip – If you’re needing to balance out your groups of 5, just toss in either the Mac & Cheese or Potatoes since they’re FREE after the Catalina.

Be sure to check out all of This Week’s Ralphs Deals HERE before you head out!  There are lots of printable coupon options as well as a couple of different inserts to pull from – mainly the 9/9/12 Smart Source and the 10/7/12 General Mills insert.  Have fun!  And send in your haul to share in the Bragging Lounge on Facebook!

My Smart & Final Haul – Spent $14.92, Saved $21.60!

by ocdealmama on October 10, 2012

I made a quick trip to Smart & Final tonight while boy #2 was at soccer practice.  This was my first time shopping Smart & Final, and I left very happy!

I have been needing to buy syrup in a big way.  I thought about picking up a bottle at Albertsons last night to tide me over, then I saw it was priced at almost $5!  Why is syrup so expensive?!?  I got very excited to see it in the Smart & Final ad today for $1.99.  That’s a great price for syrup these days.  Then I looked closer at the ad… I didn’t know Aunt Jemima was a Quaker product!  (It has been since 1926.)  We have a few Quaker coupons out that say ‘ANY QUAKER PRODUCT’ on them and that got me even more excited.  I tried to call the Quaker company, but they were already closed and I’m impatient, so I just took it to the store with me.

I took my purchases to the checkout line and asked the manager to look at the ad and my coupon.  He decided to scan it, and see what the register said.  It went straight through!  I almost danced a jig right there in the store.  How sad is it that I get so excited over pancake syrup?  I had a great trip tonight and was in and out in less than five minutes… even better!  Here’s what I did:

***DEAL SCENARIO***
(5) Aunt Jemima Syrup, 24oz – $1.99 Each (wyb 5 participating items)

(1) Aunt Jemima Syrup, 24oz – $2.59 (the limit is 5)
(1) 3lb Bag Red Delicious Apples – $2.49 Each
(1) 5lb Bag Russet Potatoes – $0.69
(1) Fiora Bath Tissue, 12 Rolls – $2.99
USED: (3) $1/2 Any Quaker Product tearpad coupons
AND: $1/1 Paseo or Fiora Large Pack Bath Tissue or Towel, exp. 12/31/12
=$14.71

I had not seen this Fiora Bath Tissue anywhere before, but it’s a GREAT DEAL at only $1.99 ($0.16/roll)!  Be sure to check out the Best Deals at Smart & Final this week before you head out!

My Albertsons Haul – $0.04 Out Of Pocket, Saved $48.58!

by ocdealmama on September 15, 2012

I hit Albertsons this afternoon to take advantage of my $1.77 Brawny Paper Towels!  I also had a friend give me some Doublers so I decided to use a few while I was there.  I’m running out of time!  My out of pocket cost for these (18) items was a WHOPPING $0.04.  I did pay with one of my $10 Kraft Catalinas so if I toss that out it would have been $10.04.  Still AWESOME considering I have 16 rolls of paper towels and a bag of Seattle’s Best Coffee here!

I had my transactions split out on the belt but my cashier was feeling generous and decided to do everything in one transaction.  Wish they would do that as a rule.  It would make it easier on everyone!  Here’s what I did today…

***DEAL IDEA***
(2) Brawny Paper Towels 8-Roll – $3.77 Each {Today Only}
(2) Scotties Tissues – $1.00 Each
(1) Seattle’s Best Coffee Bag – $4.99 {with the Book of Savings Q}
(2) Pop Tarts Confetti Cupcake – $1.66 Each
(10) Yoplait Simplait Yogurt – $0.50 Each
(1) Hot Dog Buns – $1.59
Subtotal: $24.44
USED: (2) $1/1 Package Brawny Paper Towels 6 Roll+
AND: $1/2 Scotties Facial Tissues
AND: (2) $0.70 off any 1 Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts Confetti Cupcake
AND: (2) $0.30 off ONE Yoplait Simplait™ Yogurt
AND: (8) $0.30/1 Yoplait Simplait Yogurt, exp. 10/20/12 (SS 08/26/12 R)
AND: $1/1 Seattle’s Best Coffee Bag, exp. 10/13/12 (SS 08/12/12)
AND (6) Albertsons Doublers   {Deducted $6}
AND: $10 Kraft Catalina from a previous purchase
Paid $0.04 + Tax of $0.74

Now that I’m looking at my receipt I see that my cashier deducted $1 for each of my Doublers.  My Pop Tarts should have only doubled to $0.70, but I’ll take the extra $0.30.  Made my Pop Tarts FREE!  It’s not too often I get a receipt that shows 100% Savings.  WOOHOO!

Update On Gillette Razor Deal At CVS + My Deal Scenario!

by ocdealmama on September 11, 2012

***UPDATE – I’ve had TWO people confirm that the BASIC BLUE VENUS RAZOR IS TRACKING for the $10 ECB Deal!  Buy 2 or those + 2 Mach3, Use (2) $4 Qs AND (2) BOGO Qs, Pay $6.58, Get Back $10 ECB = $3.42 Money Maker!

I’ve been running around all weekend carting kiddos to soccer games and birthday parties, but I managed to hop in CVS this afternoon to test out the HOT Gillette Razor Deal!

First and foremost, for some reason not all of the razors are tracking toward the $30 ECB promotion, so be sure to check your receipt.  The ad clearly says ‘ANY GILLETTE  SHAVING ITEMS‘ with the word ‘ANY‘ highlighted and in BOLD font.  It has both men’s and women’s refillable razors, cartridges, disposable razors and even shaving gel pictured.  However, I initially purchased a lower-priced Venus razor (it was the Venus Embrace in the pink & orange package and was priced at $8.29 at my store) and a Mach3 razor.  The store I was in only had the one Mach3 razor left on the shelf, so I only purchased these two items.  The $4 coupon and the BOGO coupon both went through just fine, that wasn’t the issue.  However, since I was going to have to go to another store to hit the $30, I looked at the bottom of my receipt.  It showed that I had spent $12.29 towards the Gillette ECB and I needed $17.71 more to get my $10.  The $12.29 was the amount of my Mach3 ONLY, so it didn’t pick up my Venus razor of $8.29.  Again, I have NO IDEA why this particular razor wasn’t included in the tracking, just wanted to warn you.  Here’s a picture of the one that didn’t track for me…

The picture at the TOP of this post is what I ended up doing that DID WORK.  I bought a more expensive Venus razor that I was pretty sure was participating since it’s actually pictured in the ad (Venus & Olay, priced at $11.49).  Since this razor and the Mach 3 razors each over $10, I bought a cheaper Venus razor for my 2nd one (since I didn’t need it to get to the $30 total).  This time I opted for the cheapest of all – the blue one pictured at the top of this post ($7.29 in my store).  I’m not sure if this blue $7.29 razor is tracking or not.  Unfortunately, I didn’t think fast enough and I did this in one transaction so I didn’t get a tracking receipt. AND… since the limit is 1 I couldn’t do it again.

Here’s what I ended up doing:
BUY (1) Venus & Olay Razor – $11.49
AND (1) Venus Razor – $7.29
AND (2) Mach3 Razors – $11.49
Subtotal: $41.76
USED (2) $4/1 Venus Refillable Razor, exp. 9/30/12 (RP 08/12/12)
AND (2): FREE Gillette Mach3 Razor wyb Gillette Razor or Disposable Razor, exp. 9/30/12 (P&G 08/26/12)  {deducted $11.99 x 2}
Paid $9.78, Got Back $10 ECB
=FREE + $0.22 MM!

***I would recommend that you try purchasing one of the blue Venus razors ($7.29) and a Mach3 in a separate transaction FIRST and then check the tracking on the bottom of your receipt.  If it’s working, you can purchase another blue Venus and have a nice money maker on your hands.  (Again, I apologize for not thinking to do this while I was in the store.)  If you find that the blue Venus razor is not tracking, you can do what I did and buy a higher priced Venus in your 2nd transaction.  It’s still pretty much FREE!

Tonight was soccer practice night for both of my older boys.  It pretty much kept me out of the house from 4:15 until almost 9:00 tonight.  I tried to get a few things done while I had a chance.  My 10 year old’s practice only lasted an hour so my littles & I sat in the car.  They fought over played games on our phones while I proceeded to clean out my expired coupons from my binder.  My binder is pretty empty at the moment, but it’s progress.  My mountain of inserts will have to wait until next time.  Sadly, I’m just keeping the box in my car, along with some scissors… but it’s working for now.  After enjoying our ever-so-healthy CAR FOOD for dinner, we dropped my oldest off and then hit up Walgreens and Ralphs.
